Back when “Final Solution” was in production, we told you it looked promising. The movie was finally released at the beginning of this year, and soon began airing on PBS stations throughout America (45 to date). NBA All-Star and three time world champion A.C. Green was an Executive Producer on this excellent, R-rated Christian production that is breaking barriers in more ways than one. Set in apartheid-era South Africa, “Final Solution” is based on a true story about racial reconciliation and personal transformation.

It is the exciting story of Gerrit Wolfaardt, a former paramilitary member who is now an ordained minister living in the United States. The film, a co-production between Integrity Media and Messenger Films, stars internationally-acclaimed actors Jan Ellis (Paljas), Marius Weyers (The Gods Must be Crazy), Vusi Kunene (Cry, The Beloved Country) and Tony Award winner John Kani. The film was shot on location in Cape Town, South Africa with a South African cast and crew to maintain the integrity of the story.

Producer Gary Wheeler, President of Integrity Media, says filming in Cape Town was a remarkable experience. “We
didn’t want to be a bunch of Americans who came to South Africa with an American cast and crew to try and duplicate the
culture in Africa. Instead, we wanted to work with South Africans, and we were fortunate to get the very best that South Africa has to offer.”

A.C. Green, who served as Executive Producer, is thrilled with the release of the first feature film by his production company, Integrity Media. He says it represents the fruition of his company’s vision to positively impact the culture through media. “We really wanted the film to deal not just with the issue of reconciliation but with restitution as well.”

“Final Solution” was a Crystal Heart Award winner at the prestigious 2002 Heartland Film Festival, and was named BEST PICTURE at the 2002 ICVM Crown Awards (International Christian Visual Media). It was an official selection at both the Durban International Film Festival and the Virginia Film Festival, where it was paired with Golden Globe Nominee Far From Heaven. “Final Solution” was also shown in Johannesburg, South Africa at the U.N.-sponsored World Summit on Sustainable Economic Development, with an estimated 60,000 delegates in attendance.

The film was released on DVD and videocassette this summer. Churches across North America are invited to show Final Solution to their congregations and communities.
