Mary, Mother of Christ” will be shooting in Malta and the Middle East. Producer Aloe Entertainment promises to bring back many of the key players from “The Passion of the Christ.” The musical score will be supplied by John Debney (“The Passion of the Christ,” “Superman,” “Iron Man”). Bob Angelotti of AngelCom Media, who was the key leader for the Catholic Campaign for (“The Passion of the Christ”) along with Paul Lauer’s Motive Marketing (“Passion of the Christ,” “Chronicles of Narnia”) is running the religious promotion and marketing for the film. Televangelist Joel Osteen has signed on as one of the film’s Executive Producers and has committed his and Lakewood Church’s (Houston, Texas) global marketing and promotion machine behind “Mary, Mother of Christ”.
According to Aloe Entertainment,
“The film, based on the New Testament, is a linear ticking clock, high action drama, faith based, youth based bio-pic. …It is a part of Mary, Joseph and Jesus’ life that has not been shown on the big screen before. …While true to the bible, the audience will experience a breakthrough with Mary’s story at ages 13, 15, 19 and 27 which will come alive using the power of film to make audiences feel as if they were living through these events with her. As the New Testament leaves Joseph’s age to interpretation, the writers have chosen to keep this a youth based project with Joseph, depicted at ages 17, 21 and 29. He is Mary’s childhood companion and confidante, a true soul mate, who undertakes willingly his role as protector and guide for Mary and their child, as they are a family on the run from a ruthless, rich and powerful king that will stop at nothing to try locate, find and take down the family and the New Messiah himself.”
The producer hopes to release the $25-million dollar film in time for Christmas 2013.
