Christian filmmaker George A. Johnson has made his directorial feature film debut with a production titled “DREAMER: The Movie.” The low budget production was shot on digital video and begins limited theatrical release January 1, 2005. Using the tagline: “An Experimental Movie. An Extraordinary Story,” the 93 minute film revolves around a student who dreams of producing a positive, uplifting movie. When the ball begins to roll, he discovers that maintaining the integrity of a dream can sometimes be a difficult thing to do. He discovers that a dream is always worth pursuing, but in the end, true joy comes, not in being served, but in serving others.
The cast includes Ben Johnson (Broken Yoke “Cannonball” Music Video, dozens of national & international commercials), Jeni Varnadeau (Christian recording artist—www.jenivarnadeau.com), and Donald Pierce (22-year veteran stage actor). The DVD and video release are scheduled for summer 2005.
