Production company Canyonlight Entertainment (Origin Entertainment) and distributor Entertainment Business Group are working together to produce and distribute a film version of Bruce Wilkinson’s controversial, bestselling book The Prayer of Jabez (Multnomah Publishers). The film title is “Bridge to Jabez.”
Oscar-winning screenwriter Barry Morrow (“Rain Man”) has written a fictionalized movie version of the book—centering on a man who “confronts a life-changing experience and a mystical stranger that takes the man on a journey that changes his life.” The reported film budget is $20-25 million.
Canyonlight is most well known for its major motion picture in production “The Runelords” (opening in 2005). “Runelords” is a $80 million epic-adventure fantasy.
The original Prayer of Jabez book was reportedly “the fastest-selling book of all time” and has been spun-off to various related products by the Wilkinsons of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries:
