Big Idea’s production of “Jonah-A VeggieTales Movie” got the number 6 position in the top ten for film revenues opening weekend (October 4-6th, 2002). But if you look at the earnings per screen, it jumps to the number 2 position. This is good new on several fronts, as “Christianity Today” recently reported a number of layoffs at Big Idea. The reasons, according to Big Idea, are soft retail sales and film schedules for “Jonah” and the 2003 “Bob and Larry Movie.”
